An exciting and brand new opportunity has arisen for an experienced, Senior In-House Solicitor to step aboard as Associate General Counsel for the companies UK operations. You will act as the sole legal counsel for all UK legal operations, so you will need to have a wide ranging corporate and commercial background. Experience giving effective counsel that is oriented around business objectives is crucial; delivering in this capacity requires a fantastic degree of commercial acumen. Alongside this high level of responsibility comes fantastic potential to develop the legal function over the long term, something that you will be involved in from the very beginning. The role reports into the Global General Counsel based in the United States and as such will require a fantastic ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively to ensure cohesiveness between the two functions. Your skills in communication and people management will also be necessary when engaging with a wide range of internal stakeholders from various different specialisms, in addition you will be accountable for the management of relationships with external counsel. Specific experience in the following is advantageous: corporate and equipment finance agreements; assist with compliance programs; assist with HR matters, intellectual property issues and real estate leases; and engage in a healthy diversity of other types of corporate transactions.
