The opportunity
The firm are looking for an experienced individual to join them as a personal injury lawyer/junior lawyer in their successful office in Stoke-on-Trent, servicing clients across the country on all types of personal injury accident claims. Their team of dedicated and collaborative professionals, use the law to secure justice for people who have suffered personal injury. If you are adept at using tactics to create robust legal arguments to achieve the best possible results for your clients and want to develop your expertise in personal injury litigation, this role would suit you perfectly.

They are looking for someone who takes pride in delivering a high quality legal service, has a strong work ethic and a natural ability to demonstrate empathy towards clients. In return, they will provide you with interesting and intellectually challenging work, along with opportunities to transfer to other offices in their national network where they specialise on high value, complex personal injury work.

The role
The role will involve managing a caseload of Fast-Track cases which include Employers Liability, Public Liability and Road Traffic Accident claims. Specifically you will be: investigating liability; assessing the strengths of a claim; gathering liability, causation and quantum evidence; liaising with clients, defendants, insurers, employers, witnesses, medical experts and the police; valuing claims; and negotiating settlements (in liability admitted cases).

Key requirements

• Up-to-date knowledge of PI law and procedure
• Previous case handling experience
• Experience of client contact, either in person or by telephone
