A high profile Insolvency and Restructuring Fee Earner opportunity has arisen in central Leeds with a top tier international law firm.

Our client, has had an influx in work and requires an Insolvency Fee Earner to join their department in central Leeds. This top tier practice Insolvency department is largely based within the Leeds and London office. Our client works with a high calibre of clients including large banks, accountancy practices and energy suppliers. In this Insolvency Fee Earner role you will gain a good work/life balance, join a friendly team and work on high profile insolvency matters in the heart of Leeds. If you have three years Insolvency fee earning experience and are currently seeking a new role in Leeds this role should stand out.

Both full time and part time applications are encouraged.

The Role
Joining the firm you will be responsible for handling your own caseload of a variety of different insolvency matters that would be mainly non-contentious.
Predominantly you would be creating recovery solutions and advising on strategy to achieve solvent and insolvent restructurings and business sales.
Matters you could be dealing with include bank security reviews, bank and investor led restructuring, turnarounds, business sales and acquisitions to name but a few.
Recent examples of the work the team have carried out include advising a number of energy suppliers, and carrying out debt sales in relation to high profile retail operators.
They've also acted for administrators on issues arising from the trading and sale of a care home group and the administration and transfer of the customer book of an independent wealth manager.
There is the opportunity to be managing transatlantic restructuring matters in the near future and working closely with the firms American offices.
Business Development will be encouraged in particular networking through various events such as breakfasts and lunches.

The Candidate
Ideally, you will have at least three years' experience managing an insolvency caseload. Those with more  insolvency fee earning experience will also be considered.
Aside from Insolvency experience, if you have banking experience and would like to transition into a financial re-structuring role, our client would like to hear from you.
You will be confident working autonomously on mainly non-contentious insolvency matters. Should you have litigation experience you will also be happily considered as there will be exposure to some contentious work.
You must have excellent drafting skills, along with fantastic client care skills to be able to offer practical and realistic advice.
You will ideally be looking for a full time position however those with the relevant insolvency or banking experience, looking to work four full days a week are encouraged to apply.
