Greater Manchester Police is one of the largest police forces in the UK and is responsible for keeping its diverse population of almost 3 million safe, spread over more than 1,200 sq. km. We are looking for a solicitor to join our Public and Regulatory Law Team. You will manage your own mixed caseload including matters relating to Inquests (including the Manchester Arena Inquests), ICO Appeals, Public Inquiries, HSE investigations and prosecutions. You will also advise on Data Protection legislation (to include GDPR and the Law Enforcement Directive). You will be responsible for providing advice and representation, carrying out investigations and research, dealing with third party stakeholders demonstrating an ability to communicate effectively, deal with confidential and sensitive information and manage a personal caseload effectively and proactively.
