My client is a high-profile firm with a national presence who can boast a truly enviable client base which includes insolvency practitioners from many national accountancy firms, SME's and large corporates.

This is the opportunity to handle national work in a small close-knit team, working primarily alongside the head of the department.

In this busy role, you can expect to handle a varied caseload including contentious, non-contentious insolvency - both corporate and personal - contractual claims, fraud, costs litigation, bankruptcies and commercial litigation. The work would be a mixture of regional and national.

The work can be of very high value and sensitive in nature, so a safe pair of hands is needed, so ideally, you'll have had some post qualification experience within Insolvency teams. Failing that you may have a background in corporate, banking or litigation and have some knowledge of exposure and if you can demonstrate that you would also be absolutely committed to the field of Insolvency then the firm would like to hear from you.

Ideally, you will have 1-3 years’ PQE gained within a strong Insolvency team where you have had a lot of autonomy with clients.

If you are an NQ or if you are a trainee who is due to qualify shortly the firm may still wish to hear about your experience. 

Similarly, if you are at 3-7 years’ PQE and are in the market to hear about opportunities then a conversation is there to be had. 

In terms of the type of person you are - you will be a confident professional who is absolutely motivated by working in the Insolvency sector. You'll be commercial in approach, flexible and responsive a someone who is passionate about Insolvency and who finds this area of law exciting.

The firm does offer flexible working and other perks however initially as the team is looking to gel you would be expected to be in the office or much of the time. It is a challenging role and you should be someone who thrives on that sort of challenge.
