Job Details
Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting to a fantastic opportunity for a Childcare Lawyer to join a large local authority based in beautiful Cheshire.
The successful Childcare Lawyer must be a fully qualified solicitor, legal executive or equivalent and ideally have experience working for a local authority childcare team, or significant public law experience gained in private practice. Duties will include, but not limited to:
- Undertaking a caseload of pre-proceedings and care cases
- Conducting advocacy
- Attending PLO meetings and Legal Planning meetings
- Providing advice in relation to Care Act
- Keeping internal case management system and court bundles updated
- Liaising with Counsel and Social Workers where necessary
The role will be based in a purpose built building, close to main connecting roads. Free onsite parking is also provided.
Our client is also able to accommodate a flexible working pattern, which includes 1 day working from home each week.
The ideal candidate will be available at short notice with part and full time availability being considered.
