My client is one of the UK’s leading full service firms. They provide their clients with practical and straightforward legal advice whatever their regional, national and international requirements. Their clients are commercial businesses, not-for-profit organisations, government agencies and private individuals. They employ more than 1000 people.

Role Purpose

It has been said that Wales is experiencing the fastest growing economy outside London.  Cardiff is at the heart of this growth in both the private and public sectors. Their well-established commercial practice in Cardiff has advised on some of the largest projects in the UK. They have an enviable client base ranging from major procurers and funders of projects to established technology-rich businesses and innovative start-ups, combined with a strong dedication to the financial services and business sectors.  We have a lot to offer an ambitious and talented lawyer wanting to work in the capital of Wales, which is also one of the most dynamic and pleasant cities in the UK.

They boast strong expertise in advising Government, Local Authorities, Universities, the NHS and a range of private sector clients on significant projects, including devising innovative procurement strategies and governance structures.

They are looking to hire a Solicitor to Associate level to take on an active and client facing role within the team. You will be responsible for supporting the partners on large scale commercial contracts and projects and for handling your own caseload with appropriate supervision.  The role will also involve supporting other teams with due diligence and ancillary related commercial arrangements.

 Skills & Experience

 You will be an experienced lawyer, with a strong background in good quality commercial work and public procurement matters across the public and/or private sectors.
