Your new role
Your new role will focus on corporate law but this role is unique in that you will be sitting within a business unit leading the delivery and management of the whole life of M & A on both the buy and sell side. advising this team on what they can and can't do. You will advise also on joint ventures and other partnership structures with global counterparties, corporates and start-ups. You will also be involved in the commercial interpretation of contracts and advise on potential disputes and how they may arise. You will also be expected to negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements. You will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of approvals papers at MD- and Executive-board levels whilst providing effective leadership and project management skills for ad-hoc projects which involve complex issues and/or new and innovative solutions to deliver successful outcomes.
This is a unique role that you will not just advise on the black letter law but play a vital role in the strategy and business projects.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to ideally have qualified in the UK or qualified in a similar common law jurisdiction.Ideally you will be 3+ PQE lawyer having trained within a private practice corporate team. This role will suit someone truly seeking a truly business orientated role which includes the legal background.
