Privacy Lawyer 1-4 year PQE Solicitor - Surrey - Fantastic working environment and benefits.

A top privately-owned company are looking to recruit a Privacy Lawyer to join their established Legal team which is well- regarded within the group. The legal department are a proactive partner to the wider commercial team supporting the group with all Data Protection issues.

This is a hands-on role requiring the ideal candidate to build working relationships across the business, and to operate with minimal day-to-day supervision although support will always be on hand.

Reporting directly to the Data Protection Manager, the primary purpose of the role is to advise the whole of the Group on all aspects of data protection law and assist with other compliance related matters and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the Data Protection Manager with the day to day management of the GDPR programme
• Working with all areas of the business from HR, Marketing and Finance etc offering Legal Privacy support
• Maintenance of Data Asset Register and other records maintained by the GDPR Privacy Team.
• Investigation and management of data protection incidents.
• Advising the business on data transfers, as required.
• Reviewing and updating data protection and other compliance related policies and processes, as required.
• Assisting with the delivery of the GDPR Privacy Team's communications and awareness activities
• Assisting the Data Protection Manager with preparing reports and assessments for the Head of Group Legal and other senior stakeholders.

The ideal Privacy Lawyer will be a Qualified lawyer ideally around 1-4 year PQE. You will have experience of Data Protection/Privacy and have a can-do attitude with excellent time management skills.
