The opportunity

Due to continued growth this Top Legal 500 Law Firm are looking for an experienced Senior Supervisor to drive their highly successful accidents team in their Leeds Office. You will have the opportunity to deliver full and effective methods of supervision of case work relating to accidents, taking responsibility for best practice in marketing, client care and ensuring case management standards are implemented and upheld throughout the team. You will work towards achieving the required operational and financial performance driving the success of the team and Branch as a whole, whilst you actively mentor, develop and supervise a team.

The role

The ideal candidate would be an admitted solicitor or FILEX with significant post qualification experience and would possess strong supervisory skills with excellent client care and interpersonal skills, coupled with an enthusiasm to train and share experience. The role would require the successful candidate to have experience in training to their union clients, colleagues and at other marketing events.

The successful candidate would also possess awareness of the issues of costs litigation, sound business acumen and keen attention to detail. They encourage all of their lawyers to be strong advocates for the work they do and to actively engage in marketing and business development opportunities by cross selling services, e.g. with local/regional union officials and events. Dealing with their union clients and colleagues, as well as at other marketing events requires the candidate to have good understanding of the relevant statutory and common law legal practice and procedures with the ability to be able to clearly communicate this knowledge to your audience.

A day in the life of a supervising lawyer is never the same, however a typical day may include effective management and monitoring of cases and taking proactive steps to ensure all cases are conducted in line with their visions and values, in a manner which uploads their clients’ interests and the firm’s reputation.
