Music Paralegal

The company are circa 20 years old and, in this time, have built up a loyal and dynamic client base at an international level. They have an extremely hands on role with all aspects of an artist's career. They do not have the largest client base in the world, but they do have a hands-on role in every aspect of the artist's career and business affairs. They predominantly support independent artists, many of whom are international.

By providing a bespoke service to their clients, the company have earned lifelong trust with world leading artists across both music and book publishing. The firm stand at 10 strong, meaning that there is real room for progression and for your role to become more holistic and exciting as time goes on. Furthermore, the company are looking to expand and diversify over the next few years. This means you could well instrumental in their growth, and your career will mould and grow with the company.

The Role

Because the company are so busy, they are looking for a Music Paralegal to join their dynamic, progressive and forward-thinking company in North West London.

You will assist a Music Lawyer in every aspect of the artist's journey. This will include: asset and rights management, contract drafting and ensuring contracts are in place, royalties, business affairs, negotiations, license agreements, brand sponsorships, videos, budgets, tours, chasing signatures, merchandising, marketing strategy and more.

You will have incredible exposure and a hands-on role from the get go. Also, because the company is in the first stages of organic growth and are not a large company, there are no glass ceilings or hierarchy. This is a company that moves on with the times and are vibrant and modern. They have recognised that more artists are choosing to stay independent, and so have identified a lucrative place in the market.

Because this role will be extremely competitive, you MUST have Music Law experience, with royalties experience being a bonus.

Requirements

· You MUST be a Music Paralegal (1+ years' experience)
· Ideally, you will have royalties experience
· You will work well in a team
· You must have a passion for Music Law
· You will be ambitious and looking for an alternative to the traditional Private Practice model
