Planning Lawyer / Partner

The firm is looking to hire a Planning Senior Associate / Partner into their thriving and growing Bristol, Somerset office.

Most of the firms prestigious and Legal 500 ranked Planning team are based in the firms head office.

This role will involve you setting up a new Bristol planning team, you will work with other partners and solicitors in the department across the firm's other offices, with a focus on actively generating work in the Bristol market and surrounds. The Planning team covers the full remit of planning matters, from planning obligations, highways and infrastructure, community infrastructure levy, lawful development certificates and supporting other teams in the firm on property acquisitions and disposals, to contentious planning matters such as enforcement, compulsory purchase, judicial reviews, statutory challenges, and appeals.

This role would be the perfect stepping stone for someone looking for short term solid Partnership prospects or someone looking for a latteral move already in a Partner role; you will have autonomy to lead this new team forwards, but also lots of support from the other Planning Partners.

• You will be a Planning Solicitor with five years PQE + (there is no upper limit on the amount of PQE)
• You will be based in the Bristol office, so a following or network in/around this area would be ideal
• You will be ambitious and want to progress in your career and lead a team forwards
• A good technical knowledge is essential
• Experience of managing is desirable but not essential
• Salary is dependent on your level of experience and background, although, above market rate, you will also receive a truly excellent benefits package.
