Salary: Band 13 - up to £56,396 p.a.

Our Lexcel accredited Legal Services supports the Council in meeting the challenges and opportunities of the on-going regeneration of Portsmouth, the service transformation and major projects of the Council and its partners, including advising on region-wide projects.  We are committed to delivering a high quality professional service, we employ modern case management systems, and offer flexible working, and the provision of legal knowledge tools; we are now recruiting for a Principal Lawyer/Team Leader (projects, commercial, and procurement) to contribute to our success as a team and a City, and provide leadership and management to a team advising on major projects, commercial, procurement, corporate, trading, and local government law.  Whilst not a pre-requisite it would be a distinct advantage if any applicant could also evidence practical experience of planning advice including Committee exposure.
