Job Details

With one of the largest Pensions Team in the UK, a national client base and reputation to match, it's easy to see how our pensions lawyers provide a full pensions law advice service to both employers and pension scheme trustees. Working with some of the UK's largest companies and schemes, across a range of sectors, as well as public service and voluntary organisations, their work encompasses the full range of legal advice in relation to UK pension schemes from day-to-day benefit queries and member complaints to large scale restructuring and liability management projects.

Just because we're big, though, doesn't mean we've lost our personal touch. It's the quality and commerciality of our service, our industry insight and the talent and passion of our people that engages our clients, and they love what we do. It also means that our people are engaged, and excited about the opportunities for growth and development in our business - there's no doubt that it's an exciting place to be.

You will be a pensions solicitor and be looking to join the team in either Leeds or Newcastle

What will you be doing?

You'll contribute to the growth and success of the business by developing the reputation/brand of the firm, taking a proactive role in building and maintaining client relationships, both in terms of revenue growth and profitability from new and existing clients. You'll play an important role in helping us to further develop our local market share, running transactions in their entirety from the outset, supervising and mentoring others in the team to deliver those transactions for our clients. As a key member of the team you'll be involved in business development activities, influence strategy for the team as well as helping others to develop in this area.

What does the ideal candidate look like?

You'll be a technically proficient Pensions lawyer who's had extensive exposure to quality pensions work from a large regional or city firm who can add value through first class technical, commercial advice and delivering business and sector insight. You'll have strong internal and external networking skills and use these effectively to generate work in your own right. You'll also, ideally, have experience of supervising the technical work of others and enjoy devoting dedicated time to share your expertise through coaching and mentoring.

So what makes it so great to work here?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a close-knit and supportive team where you can learn from true leaders in their field and build your experience with access to great quality work and great clients. Supported by a collegiate approach, and firm wide commitment to lawyer development there are fewer better places to start your career as a qualified lawyer or continue your career as a lawyer.

And that's not all, alongside a competitive salary you'll receive a flexible benefits package so you can pick and choose between the benefits that matter most to you.

Lipson Lloyd Jones Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.

Company

No two candidates are the same, so recruitment should never be a numbers game. Offering a unique blend of insight, professionalism, dedication and enthusiasm, the accent at Lipson Lloyd-Jones is on ensuring the perfect chemistry between client and candidate.

Lipson Lloyd-Jones has been a major player in the legal recruitment sector since 1987, but our philosophy has changed little since then. In a marketplace increasingly populated by faceless web sites and mega-agencies, Lipson Lloyd-Jones has remained resolutely independent, the human face of recruitment, fully committed to treating each candidate as an individual.

Our mission is to match the right candidate to the right job. Simple? With our wealth of experience, focus, contacts and understanding of the legal recruitment milieu, it can be.
