Our local authority client is actively seeking an Adult Social Care Lawyer for the Dispute Resolution and Litigation Team for a short term contract until May 2019.

The successful candidate would be working as part of a team of six.  Two specialise in adult care work.  As part of their service to adult care clients they run a weekly Legal Advice Surgery where clients send in information and questions using a structured form and the Lawyers provide initial advice in response.  This would be something the successful Lawyer will be required to undertake.

The work would be a mixture of community care cases including deprivation of liberty, COP, NRPF and Care Act 2014 matters. They also advise the Housing Department in respect of homelessness and housing management.  

Our client is ideally seeking candidates with local authority experience however, candidates from the private sector are encouraged to apply. Due to the urgency around the position, you will be required to be available on no more than two weeks’ notice.

Our client is forward thinking and flexible with working hours/days, with the possibility of home working if required.
