A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a commercially savvy Solicitor, who is looking to expand their skill set and horizons, to join one of the most highly regarded and accredited in-house legal teams in the UK.
This is a dynamic and rewarding in-house role that will require the successful candidate to always be ahead of the curve and expect the unexpected. The successful candidate will handle their own caseload with minimal supervision and will be offered the opportunity to work on a wide range of national issues and projects across the wider business.
Our candidate is one of the most well established and accredited companies in their sector. With accreditation's awarded from both the Sunday Times and the Investor in People body.
The primary purpose of this role will be to advise the company on a large range of issues- primarily however, data protection, privacy, compliance and commercial contracts.
Key Accountabilities:
* Supporting the Data Protection Manager with the day to day management of the GDPR programme
* Reviewing, negotiating and drafting a range of commercial contracts
* Investigation and management of data protection incidents
* Advising the business on data transfers, as required
* Assisting the Data Protection Manager with preparing reports and assessments for the Head of Group Legal and other senior stakeholders
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor in England & Wales and have between 1 - 4 years of PQE experience. NQ candidates from leading Law Firms and In-house teams may also be considered depending on relevant experience.
