Regeneration Property Lawyer

Exciting opportunity for a Property Lawyer to join a very busy legal team within Essex. This is a locum opportunity of an intial 3 months, with the liklihood for extenstion.

Our client is able to offer the opportunity to deal with large projects covering Regeneration and Development projects. Commercial Property and Residential work will also be part of the role, therefore we are looking for a Property Lawyer who is able to juggle several projects simultaneously.

• Able to demonstrate experience of compulsory purchase orders, commercial property and residential (right to buy) conveyancing transactions, highways and other related regeneration work
• To act as a legal advisor to the client organisations in regeneration, commercial property, and other corporate or constitutional matters
• To advise and assist clients with property advice in connection with their housing portfolio
• Preparing, negotiating and advising on all aspects relating to regeneration projects and commercial property work

Effective teamwork and organisational skills are a must, especially when you consider that some projects take years to complete successfully. Patient, analytical people with lateral thinking skills are best suited to work in this area. A genuine interest in, and knowledge of, development and regeneration is also essential when working with clients and drafting accurate reports.

A broad range of skills and knowledge are needed in property development would be desirable, however someone who is looking to learn within this area will be considered. Experience of local authority governance and decision making would be an advantage, but this is not essential for the role.

You will have excellent communication and IT skills and have the ability to work as a team player in a commercial and pragmatic way as we work with other Council officers to meet the high demand for excellent value for money public services.
