Global company with a reputation for excellence have an exciting opportunity within their North Eastern hub. Based in Newcastle, this opening is for an Intellectual Property Solicitor to join the integral legal function.
This FTSE 100 business are a market leader in the finance and technology sector with clients ranging from start ups to major enterprises. There is a variety of work on offer here and you will be a key figure in the companies IP initiatives. You will regularly liaise with external stakeholders, the Patent Manager and the Deputy General Counsel to manage and protect all company IP.
You will utilise your expert legal knowledge, advising on IP matters on a global basis. Your day to day duties will include drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal agreements and transactional IP matters, managing copyright registration processes and advising on software use and licensing. You will manage IP registers and instruct external IP advisors.
This is a key position within a collaborative and inclusive business and requires an expert IP Solicitor with experience gained in Trade Mark management, advising on and managing disputes and litigious matters as well as having a collaborative and communicative approach.
