The Role

This leading team are looking for a Financial Regulation Lawyer with 1 - 3 years PQE to join their prestigious City of London office.

You will be a junior lawyer to join the firms Financial Markets team with a solid grounding in financial regulation including change in control, the FCA's conduct of business, 4A authorisations, financial promotions.

The firm would expect the ideal candidate will also have a good familiarity with the regulatory challenges facing any of these areas - investment banks, brokers, funds and platforms.

Ideally you will have knowledge of investment platforms, CRD IV, structural reforms, AIFMD and the firm will also consider junior lawyers with capital markets or derivatives experience if they have a strong interest in moving into financial regulation.

You will have the opportunity to handle your own matters (with support and supervision) assisting the Partners and Senior Associates with complex matters.

The team have a reputation in the market for giving good levels of responsibility at an early stage in a supportive yet stretching environment.

Requirements

  • Excellent academic achievement with a minimum 2:1 degree
  • At least 1 - 3 years' experience gained in Financial Regulatory law as a Solicitor qualified in England and Wales
  • Solid understanding of Financial Regulation
  • Clear understanding of the needs of top tier clients
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Keen intellect and commercial mindset
