Senior Legal Counsel - Manchester or Burton-on-Trent

Inspired is a NASDAQ listed global games technology company, supplying Virtual Sports, Interactive and Server Based Gaming systems with associated terminals and digital content to regulated lottery, betting and gaming operators around the world. Inspired currently operates more than 25,000 digital gaming terminals and supplies its Virtual Sports products in more than 35,000 venues and on over 100 websites in 30 countries. Inspired employs approx. 650 employees in the UK and elsewhere, developing and operating digital games and networks.

Inspired seeks to appoint a commercial solicitor to work part of a small legal team with a particular focus on commercial contracts. This role is based in either our Manchester or Burton-on-Trent office, depending on the successful candidates’ location.  Providing legal support to the General Counsel (based in London) in relation to drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, to deliver value added services in the most efficient and cost-effective way.

You will be joining a Legal and Compliance team of 9 including company secretarial, regulatory compliance and information security functions as well as three lawyers (General Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel based in London and a consultant US securities lawyer based in New York).

You will be a qualified solicitor in England, or other recognised jurisdiction and possess a minimum of 8 year post qualified experience with substantial in-house experience.  Proven experience in drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial, IT and IP contracts is a must as is a highly commercial, solutions orientated approach.  Excellent communication skills, with a team working style and the ability to self-start are required.

Previous experience working for a gaming or gambling company, with a solid understanding of the UK gaming regulatory environment and laws, an understanding of international contractual issues including tax, and M&A experience is desirable.
