Legal 500 practice seeks Immigration Caseworker with supervisory experience in London.

Joining a successful immigration department located in the City of London, the successful caseworker will provide supervisory support to junior team members and manage a caseload consisting of all immigration matters. Ideally you will have IAAS Level 2 accreditation or be able to speak another language fluently.

Responsibilities
  • Undertaking initial client consultations
  • Advising on points-based system applications including Tier 1, 2 and 4
  • Human Rights applications under Article 3 and 8
  • Asylum and nationality matters
  • Further and indefinite leave to remain
  • Submitting applications to the Home Office and other authorities
  • Assessing and collecting relevant immigration documentation
  • Appeals and judicial review
  • Providing representation at all levels up the Supreme Court
  • Supervising and managing junior team members
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of legislation and policy changes within your specialist field
  • Participation in business development initiatives to promote your own and the departments services
The Candidate
  • Applications are welcomed from fee earners caseworker with a minimum of two years’ experience in immigration
  • Previous management or supervisory experience will be essential
  • IAAS Level 2 accreditation is advantageous
  • Demonstrates outstanding communication and client care skills, able to explain complex matters in clear, accessible language
  • The ability to speak another language fluently will be highly advantageous
  • Works well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Has excellent drafting and IT skills with particular proficiency using Microsoft Office
