US Securities - Associate (NQ-2 PQE)
Your new company
Ranked amongst the Silver Circle Law Firms, this firm has an international presence spanning North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia and employs close to 3000, of which close to half are in partnership. The firm operates in all areas of commercial law and is regarded as a market leader for capital markets, advising numerous leading banks and corporate issuers.
Your new role
An exciting position has arisen for a junior New York-qualified lawyer to join Capital Markets in London, which sits with the Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team. Successful candidates will play an integral part in the team in terms of assisting on the drafting of legal documents, agreements, prospectuses and overseeing due diligence. Under the supervision of more senior lawyers, you will also be involved in negotiating agreements, managing ECM and DCM transactions and will also have the chance to gradually build client contact.
What you'll need to succeed
To qualify, it is essential that you have recently been admitted to the bar, preferably New York although other US jurisdictions will be considered. You must have successfully completed a Juris Doctor (JD), otherwise referred to as a graduate-entry professional degree in law and have a couple of years post qualification experience in US securities law transactions. Further, the ability to conduct business in German is highly desirable, although not a requisite.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will join a team that has grown hugely over the past 15 - 20 years and is now a recognised practice for representing both London-based and International corporate issuers and financial institutions. You will be remunerated competitively and have access to a range of benefits.
