Locum Commercial Contracts & Procurement Lawyer

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Contracts & Procurement Lawyer to join a Local Authority for a 6 month locum contract based in the West Midlands, easily commutable from the South West.

Applications are welcome from Qualified Solicitors, Barristers, Legal Executives and non-qualified Lawyers who have the relevant experience working within a Local Government organisation.

The purpose of the role is to advise the organisation on commercial law. You should be experienced in procurement law, as well as drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements. You must also be able to work independently and with minimum supervision.

This role offers a rate of £40-50 per hour and there is the possibility that this role may fall 'Outside IR35'. Candidates without Local Government experience are welcome to apply provided they can demonstrate knowledge of public and EU contract and procurement law and are happy to be competitive on their hourly rate accordingly.
