An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Department to join a Legal 500, Lexcel accredited and multi-award winning law firm with more than 100 years of expertise operating in all major practices.

You will be joining a dedicated family law team who have built an excellent reputation and who inspires confidence in their clients and gets impressive results. This is a replacement role where you will build upon and develop an existing caseload.

Responsibilities:

• As the Head of Department, you will act as an entrepreneur, strategically building a profitable and sustainable business (being accountable to the Partners for their part of the firm's business) and specifically taking full responsibility for:-
• People and operations - building a team of motivated and highly competent people and ensuring they are supported by efficient processes and IT so that excellent client service is delivered as consistently, efficiently and profitably as possible
• Marketing, business development and selling - raising the public profile and image of the department and the firm, developing services suited to client needs, implementing a focused BD plan, managing a sales pipeline and cross-selling to the firm's clients
• Financial, risk and compliance - achieving agreed financial objectives set for the Department and other KPIs, complying with regulations and managing risks

Requirements:

• You will have 7 years pqe specialising purely within Family Law but all applications are encouraged to apply if you meet the relevant criteria
• Has a minimum of one year's previous experience of working at management level and managing a team
• CRM/PMS experience
• Deliver high quality client care and service at all times
• Demonstrates outstanding communication skills and a client-focused approach
• Strong IT skills with particular proficiency using Microsoft Office applications
• Enjoy marketing, networking and business development
