Your new company
Due to an internal service redesign, we are now looking to recruit a locum Children's Solicitor to work with Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council on a temporary, on-going basis. Sandwell Council is the largest employer in the borough that help provide a comprehensive range of services across its six towns. They are committed to the provision of high quality services across the borough.
Your new role
As an experienced Children's Solicitor, you will be required to undertake legal work relating to child care matters including advocacy and advice to committees, boards, panels or other bodies as required. In addition, to provide advice and assistance to members and officers of the Council.
What you'll need to succeed
As a qualified Solicitor / Legal Executive, you will have a minimum 3 years PQE, ideally within a local authority setting. Experience of child social care is essential for this role. You must be a confident advocate as there will be an expectation for you to cover various types of hearings to include those of a contested nature.
