Job Details
Are you an experienced defendant personal injury solicitor considering your next role in the Edinburgh area and with at least one year post qualified experience related to medical negligence files?
If so, then please do read on as QED Legal's top tier client has a requirement within their expanding medical negligence team for an assistant or potentially associate solicitor to take on a mixed caseload of defended personal injury files with a leaning towards medical negligence claims.
You will have, as previously mentioned, at least one years PQE and have demonstrable experience of defendant PI, ideally with a ranked law firm, in both the Court of Session and Sheriff Court throughout your time as a solicitor.
Solicitors from a pursuer background will be considered for this role as long as you have demonstrable experience at the Court of Session, have a clear grasp and prior background of at least two years in clinical negligence as well as EL and fatal accidents claims.
With the personal injury market having been relatively quiet in Edinburgh of late, whilst busier in Glasgow, this is a rare role which will likely have a high level of interest. For additional information please contact Neil Campbell at QED Legal via the details provided for a confidential discussion.
All calls will of course be treated as strictly confidential and without obligation to apply.
Company
QED
An acronym of the latin phrase quod erat demonstrandum which translates as "thus it is demonstrated" or "that which was to be demonstrated". It is most often used as an annotation at the end of a complex mathematical, scientific or philosophical argument to show that the author had proven what he had set out to prove. In recent times it has also been translated as "Quite Easily Done".
As a recruiter you have to network and speak to large amounts of people and lots of law firms to really understand the market and have the connections to match people with opportunity quickly when the time arises. A good recruiter needs to be Quick, Excellent and Dynamic in everything that they do. Allow the team at QED to demonstrate what they can do for your firm or your career.
