Senior Commercial Lawyer

Senior Commercial Lawyer - A Bristol law firm requires a Senior Commercial Solicitor to join their busy Corporate and Commercial team dealing with high quality commercial work for clients and also to provide ‘in-house’ advice to the business on key commercial transactions. The Corporate and Commercial work covers the full range of commercial matters and recent instructions include negotiating and drafting: agency and distribution agreements for household name food companies; outsourcing and supply arrangements with public bodies such as the NHS and DWP for a major healthcare company and advising on software licensing arrangements.
This is a senior post and the successful candidate will manage their own caseload of high value commercial contracts and will lead on the delivery of key commercial transactions for clients. They will be part of a friendly, close-knit and highly motivated group of people who believe in achieving client objectives and delivering a top quality service to our loyal clients.

Duties/Responsibilities:
·Take responsibility for running commercial transactions;
·Show a sound understanding and technical knowledge of commercial law;
·Support client relationship management;
·Involvement in marketing initiatives and attendance at networking events;
·Assist in training members of staff and contributing to the department's ‘know how’ systems.
Key skills/competencies required:
·Experience of negotiating and delivering commercial transactions;
·Excellent legal knowledge and drafting skills;
·Ability to analyse complex legal problems and suggest effective solutions;
·Good people skills;
·Self sufficient whilst also having the necessary qualities to work as part of a team;
·The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines and targets;
·Solicitor with several years of good commercial contracts experience.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and capability, and will reflect the seniority of this post.
