Private Client Lawyer (Wealth Planning)

Are you a highly proficient wealth planning lawyer who would be interested in joining one of "The Best Law Firms 2019"? If so, then my client would like to hear about you!

You will be joining an award winning, top tier Legal 500 law firm with a global presence and joining a large team that advise on all aspects of wealth structuring, using domestic and international trusts and foundations and private trust companies (both in local as well as offshore jurisdictions) and co-ordinate the acquisition of appropriate investments.

The Role:

You will be advising fiduciaries to include the design and implementation of new plans, as well as the modernization and consolidation of older trusts. You will also assist them in complying with the complex rules surrounding investments, accounting, taxes and compliance.

Some of your clients are based only in the US or UK. Others are international families with family members who have UK and/or US connections and want to mitigate their exposure to tax. You will also assist families based in the Middle East, Asia and elsewhere who have little or no connection with the UK or US but want to hold their wealth in suitable trust structures.

The role will cover a mixed caseload involving all aspects of tax, trusts and domestic and international wealth planning, to include:

  • UK personal tax advice for both domestic and international families on their succession and tax planning using wills, trusts and other structures.
  • Delivering high quality professional services with a focus on UK tax and trust law.
  • Advice to settlors, fiduciaries and beneficiaries regarding the establishment and management of offshore structures.
  • Managing clients' affairs effectively and profitably through delivery of own case load.
  • Building and maintaining a network of intermediaries and enthusiasm for developing business.
  • Actively working on business development with domestic and international clients.


  • You will ideally have a minimum of 2 years pqe within a reputable law firm, however all levels of experience will be considered/
  • You will be experienced in all areas of private client, wealth structuring and tax advice
  • Experience of working on transactions and large projects
  • Excellent research skills
  • Strong IT skills (e.g. Word & excel)
