Job Details

Commercial Litigation Senior Associate/Partner

Cambridge

I am looking to hear from ambitious corporate & Commercial lawyers who are looking to progress their career at a senior level within one of the UKs leading law firms and contribute to the continued expansion of this firms Cambridge operations.

This firm ha significantly increased the size of its Cambridge office over the last 2 years with some impressive hires across several practice areas and has further ambitious plans for expansion in Cambridge. So there are some really exciting opportunities for senior commercial lawyers at the moment within the firm, with commercial litigation an area they are very interested in developing further.

This is by no means a standing start as the firm is one with a national presence with a strong litigation practice based out of their other offices. However, there will be the expectation that the successful candidate will come on board and through utilising contacts and getting actively involved in networking and business development activities will help to grow the department in Cambridgeshire.

A, following of business would be beneficial but by no means essential as long as you can show a successful track record of nurturing and developing client relationships.

Applications are welcome from ambitious individuals who are perhaps finding progression opportunities at their current firm limited or those looking for more autonomy in their role. Partnership progression will be made available for lawyers who can come in and play their part in the firms continued success but the firm will also look at lateral hires for partners looking to move over and continue their careers within a modern and forward thinking firm.

The salary will be based on the individual but will be at the top end of market rate for the area and will be as part of an excellent overall package.

Please get in touch with Greg at QED legal for further details.

Company

QED
An acronym of the latin phrase quod erat demonstrandum which translates as "thus it is demonstrated" or "that which was to be demonstrated". It is most often used as an annotation at the end of a complex mathematical, scientific or philosophical argument to show that the author had proven what he had set out to prove. In recent times it has also been translated as "Quite Easily Done".

As a recruiter you have to network and speak to large amounts of people and lots of law firms to really understand the market and have the connections to match people with opportunity quickly when the time arises. A good recruiter needs to be Quick, Excellent and Dynamic in everything that they do. Allow the team at QED to demonstrate what they can do for your firm or your career.
