Cyber Security Partner
An opportunity for a Partner with at least 7 years PQE has opened with a leading practice in the City of London. This International team are part of a Top 50 firm and their expert lawyers advise on cutting edge Data Privacy and Cyber Risk.
The firm has a complete multi-service offering giving advice to many of the world's most prestigious organisations with access to market-leading litigation, banking, finance, and transactional advice across a vast range of practice areas.

You will be part of their global practice in partnership both in London and with the firms international offices regularly working alongside cyber security colleagues in other practice areas such as financial services regulatory, insurance, employment, and the non-contentious data protection team.
Much of the work will involve contentious data privacy matters, working with the Information Commissioners Office on regulatory investigations however it will not be limited to this. Other work will include financial fraud through cyber attack, or operational security incidents affecting critical national infrastructure.
The successful hire will need to have a solid understanding of data privacy law ideally with experience on the more contentious side for example regulatory investigations, liaising with the ICO and dealing with data breaches but there will also be requirements to handle non-contentious matters - before the event cyber risk management, advising on cyber security aspects of corporate transactions and projects (ensuring security is adequate regarding contractors on various projects etc).
This position will be in depth, challenging and the new hire will be expected to come in and boost the practices business development initiatives as well as having their own client base to tap into.
- You will be a Cyber Risk/Data Privacy Partner at a well respected law firm with at least 7 years PQE.
- Must be qualified as a Solicitor in England & Wales.
- You will have strong academics (min 2:1 degree).
- Experience gained at a reputable firm within an established practice.
- The ability to manage and develop strong client relationships whilst also effectively providing support internally to the firm and colleagues.
- Ability and drive to work on bespoke, big-ticket and complicated matters
