Job Details

A legal 500 law firm based in Blackburn have a rare opening for a LLB graduate with work experience to join them as a First response member. Effectively you will be joining a successful team of paralegals and solicitors and will be their first point of contact with clients.

This is a golden opportunity for a LLB Graduate/legal assistant/paralegal with less than 1 years work experience (some experience in a law firm is required) to join a successful law firm and work their way to qualification.

Main purpose of job


  • To serve as a first point of contact for new clients, delivering excellent customer service in a time efficient manner.

  • Key tasks (Duties)


  • Contact new clients to obtain information concerning their case.
  • Enter information acquired from client on case management software and create new files.
  • Generation of suitable client care correspondence for clients.
  • Instruct medical appointments and engineer's inspections.
  • Actively listen to client's needs and react accordingly in terms of hire, any extra requirements etc.
  • Obtain any other information necessary, e.g. police reports etc.
  • When processing new claims, ensure that any concerns regarding liability and fraud are communicated immediately to your First Response line manager.
  • Liaise with other teams in the firm to ensure smooth transition of claims.
  • Take incoming calls to the office and deal with routine client enquiries efficiently.
  • Adhere to all performance targets set by senior partners.
  • Have a flexible approach to working hours.

  • Qualifications: Preferably Legal background studies. LLB graduates who looking to progress their careers in legal sector. PC literate, Microsoft Package, Customer Service course advantage but not essential full in house training will be provided.

    Experience

    • Previous experience in similar role will be advantage.
    • Previous experience working in office environment.
    • Customer service experience
    • Knowledge and understanding of GDPR and Equality Standards

    LLB candidates with work experience will be considered.
