Commercial/Procurement Lawyer required to join the Government Legal Department for a minimum of 3 months. The team is looking for a Solicitor or Barrister with a broad experience of running litigation cases in a commercial law environment, preferably in the UK and in TCC. Public sector commercial litigation experience would be useful and the ideal Lawyer will be able to deal with dispute resolution cases. The role includes working with a Lead Lawyer on litigation matters and judicial review cases. Familiarity with large-scale trial and witness statement preparation is desirable including knowledge of disclosure.

Required skills and experience of the Commercial/Procurement Lawyer

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister
• IT Contract, IP experience
• Understanding procurement law in the public sector
• Understanding and experience of public law, judicial review practices and procedure.
• Familiar with large scale trial-preparation and witness statement preparation
• Commercial litigation experience
