Job Details

Sevenoaks District Council is a multi-award-winning local authority located in the beautiful County of Kent.  As a Platinum Investor in people we pride ourselves in our positive culture and great work environment.  As the new Solicitor, you will grow your career while assisting the Head of Legal and Democratic Services in providing a proactive, high-quality legal service.

Working alongside a Senior Solicitor, Trainee Solicitor and the team’s administrator, you will personally provide a full range of specialist legal advice and support on a wide variety of matters.  Your portfolio will include planning matters, civil litigation and prosecutions.  You will also embrace non-contentious matters such as contracts and conveyancing.  You will attend and advise formal meetings.

We are looking for an ambitious and hard-working solicitor with a current practising certificate.  The role would suit someone who is credible in front of elected Members, proactive, self-motivated and resourceful. We need you to be someone who understands that ‘the customer is anyone who isn’t me’ and who has the ability to build strong relationships.

Are you looking to move your career to the next level?  For an informal discussion, please call Martin Goodman, Head of Legal & Democratic Services, on 01732 227245.

Our staff benefits package includes: flexible annual leave & working arrangements, discounted membership of Sencio's Leisure Centres, excellent training & development opportunities.
