Local Authority Associate Solicitor.

This Legal 100 national law firm is on an upwards trajectory and is seeking to recruit a Local Authority Associate Solicitor to join their Local Authority team in the Liability Division, based at their central Sheffield office. 
 
The role involves handling a caseload of EL/PL and abuse claims, as well as assisting senior members of the team in relation to both fast-track and multi-track matters. The role will include court attendance, document consideration, document drafting, client contact, and conducting proactive litigation. 
 
The team’s clients are predominantly local authorities and insurers/claims handlers. You will be expected to handle EL/PL and abuse claims. 
 
You will be working for large fleets and self-insurers, local authorities and public authorities, and claims handlers and Third Party Assistors.
 
Cases will include Catastrophic Claims, General Liability, Motor Liability, EL/PL, and some motor criminal/inquest work. 
 
You will be able to run your own caseload with minimal supervision and ideally have Defendant PI experience, however, those from a Claimant background will also be considered. You will ideally have 1-3 years' PQE, but candidates outside of this will still be considered.
