Housing and Civil Litigation Locum

A busy Borough Council in North Yorkshire requires a Senior Legal Officer to join their busy Civil Litigation Team on a locum basis. This position is for an initial three months with the strong likelihood of a long extension.

Day to day duties:
-Dealing with civil litigation on behalf of the organisation
-Focusing on disrepair and ASBOs
-Undertaking own advocacy

The ideal candidate will have previous experience dealing with housing disrepair and ASBOs in a public sector or not for profit organisation, and should be a Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with a current Practising Certificate.

The ideal candidate will work 37 hours per-week, although flexi-time, and home working are available.
