Family Solicitor 2+ years PQE

Wanstead, East London

Established over 50 years, my client has a really strong client base of both businesses and individuals. They pride themselves on client care and do not take in any high volume fixed fee work. They have traditional values when it comes to client care and do not want this compromised. They have a friendly working culture and offer lots of progression. It is this approach which has led to a 98% staff retention over the last 3 years. The average amount of years of staff service is 16 years - they are the type of firm where once people join they stay at their entire careers. They have a network of offices and are ingrained into the local community with their fee earners having a real level of expertise and knowledge of the market they work.

A couple of senior members of the team are nearing retirement, this combined with a high volume of new instructions has now created a rare opportunity for an additional Family Solicitor to join the team.

The Family Department deals with a broad range of work including ancillary relief, co-habitation, divorce, public and private children, post and pre-nuptial agreements, non-molestation orders and occupation orders. They deal with lots of HNW work and have a strong reputation in this area. You will be working alongside a Senior Partner out of this office who has a wealth of experience within the Higher Courts.

Therefore, it is expected that you will be at least a 2 years PQE Family Solicitor experienced in handling both Private (children and financial) and Public law work. You will have good experience of running your own caseload. There is a lot of support and guidance available in the department but you will also be given lots of autonomy to go out and meet with clients to make the role your own. There is real scope for the right person to progress to Partnership or Head of Department status.

Salary is negotiable depending on your level of PQE plus an excellent bonus scheme.

This role will be based in East London close to Wanstead.

Apply now or feel free to give Claire a call for a confidential conversation!

QED
An acronym of the latin phrase quod erat demonstrandum which translates as "thus it is demonstrated" or "that which was to be demonstrated". It is most often used as an annotation at the end of a complex mathematical, scientific or philosophical argument to show that the author had proven what he had set out to prove. In recent times it has also been translated as "Quite Easily Done".

As a recruiter you have to network and speak to large amounts of people and lots of law firms to really understand the market and have the connections to match people with opportunity quickly when the time arises. A good recruiter needs to be Quick, Excellent and Dynamic in everything that they do. Allow the team at QED to demonstrate what they can do for your firm or your career.
