Data Protection Officer

The Role

The company are looking for a GDPR/Data Protection Officer for their London office in a 6-month fixed term contract which might turn permanent.

This is a standalone role, reporting to the Senior Lawyer in the Commercial team. Your role will require exceptional GDPR/Data Protection knowledge and the ability and drive to go out into the business, engage with employees, and make GDPR engaging and to keep GDPR at the forefront of people's minds. You will also advise the company on GDPR/Data Protection changes in legalisation and ensure that the company is up to date with this.

You will work with the wider HR and Operations teams within the company, making this an exciting, hands on and holistic role; you will be responsible for overseeing data protection strategy and implementation.

Requirements

· You will have exceptional knowledge of GDPR/Data Protection. You do NOT need to be a Qualified Lawyer, although this would be beneficial.
· You will be driven, energetic and very good with people.
· You will be looking for an opportunity to travel to different locations with the company.
· You will be ambitious and a real team player.
· Ideally, but not necessary, you will have worked In-House.
