Job Details

This is a great opportunity to work with a well established high street firm who are seeking an experienced solicitor (6 Years PQE+) to deal with a mixed caseload of private funded family law work.

You will be based within their Preston office.

The role will initially see you work on a growing caseload of private paying & legal aid family matters as well as having the opportunity to develop new business whilst working closely with a senior partner. Work is varied and will consist of divorce, ancillary relief, pre-nuptial agreements, domestic violence, injunctions, private children work, financial remedy, children arrangements and cohabitation disputes.

Your client base will be built up of local and regional clients who will often come into the office for face to face meetings, so prior experience of dealing with clients in this manner would be ideal. As this is an autonomous role you will be dealing with all aspects of the file from start to finish and you must be an experienced advocate, as this is in important part of this job role.

Family Panel membership would prove to be an advantage but not essential. This position would suit an ambitious solicitor who is willing to work hard and help grow a department as well as dealing with a broad mix of private & public work. Salary will be in excess of £45,000+ plus a great benefits scheme. Please contact Connor at QED & Legal for further information on this role.

An acronym of the latin phrase quod erat demonstrandum which translates as "thus it is demonstrated" or "that which was to be demonstrated". It is most often used as an annotation at the end of a complex mathematical, scientific or philosophical argument to show that the author had proven what he had set out to prove. In recent times it has also been translated as "Quite Easily Done".
