Planning Solicitor

A well-known and highly regarded Law firm is looking for a Planning Solicitor to join their extremely successful and award winning practice.

This role allows you to get your name behind a nationally acclaimed firm with a strong international presence. As market leaders across various sectors, they attract high quality work and top of the range clients. This is a fantastic role that will really allow you to establish yourself in this area of law. The national team are highly regarded for the work that they do and have a strong reputation for dealing with difficult planning issues and assisting to obtain consents for major development projects. They don't however have any planning lawyers local to Leeds so you must be able to work fairly autonomously and would work as an extension of the commercial property team which is very successful, very supportive and very welcoming.

You will be joining a small but friendly and supportive team that are very collegiate and come together to work on various projects. There will be plenty of opportunity to get involved in development projects and regeneration schemes in a variety of different locations across the country. Some of the projects that the team have been involved in include assisting businesses with obtaining planning consents for growth and expansion and regenerating certain areas to develop new homes and facilities.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years PQE in planning law however they are really open minded and candidates that fall outside of this bracket are encouraged to apply. You will be technically strong, a good communicator and a team player. You will enjoy being part of a fast paced environment and working on a stimulating mix of projects but must me capable of working fairly autonomously. The team recognise development and success and you will therefore be given increasing amounts of responsibility as your experience within this area grow.

Business development will be a key part of this role and this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking for a position that can offer a lot of client contact.
