Commercial Intellectual Property Solicitor Job in Bristol or Exeter - Flexible Working

This firm are market leaders in a wide range of industry sectors and are currently seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Solicitor to join their rapidly expanding Commercial team, in either their Bristol or Exeter office. Joining a busy commercial team, you will work closely with two of the firm's Commercial partners, as well as other partners and senior fee earners across the country. You will be expected to provide complete management of client files, working to develop your existing skills on pricing, budget control and risk management.
In addition to negotiating and drafting contracts with IP subject matter, you will support colleagues in the corporate team with IP due diligence exercises and advise on IP warranties, disclosures and ancillary documents. Your work will consist mostly of non-contentious IP matters with some IP disputes work, such as cease and deist work and early stage Court proceedings. The balance of work between non-contentious and contentious work is approximately 75:25. You will also provide support on disputes and opposition work, as part of your work with the specialist Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys, who handle the application for and management of registered rights. Training to work in this area of law will be provided within the role if you don't have this.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced solicitor in Intellectual Property, circa 4+PQE, however lawyers with all levels of experience will be considered . You will need to have strong commercial technical skills and a knowledge of and interest in intellectual property, technology and brand protection markets and the enthusiasm to learn more. You'll take a real interest in your clients' markets and affairs and have pride in ensuring that their needs are always met and their objectives delivered.
