Your new company
A leading charity based in London and Chesterfield who provide carers, support healthcare professionals and fund research for those suffering with Arthritis. The Charity is made up of volunteers, healthcare professionals, researchers and friends, reaching out to everybody with the information and support they need, funding vital research and changing the way society sees arthritis. The corporate services team performs several support functions for the charity including corporate governance, compliance, risk management and estate management. They are currently looking for an in house Lawyer.

Your new role
As the in-house lawyer, you will act as the central point of contact to provide high quality guidance and advice on a spectrum of legal matters across the charity, with a core responsibility to advise on and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts. Working within the Corporate Services team you'll also hold a responsibility for due diligence of sponsors, donors and partners and ensure that sufficient and clear information is provided to colleagues to enable them to make informed decisions. Part of the role will also involve giving training, support and guidance to all users across the organisation on contracting and legal issues. Finally you will be required to work with minimal supervision and manage your own workload.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will be qualified as a solicitor, barrister or legal executive with experience working in commercial and contract law, post qualification contacts and commercial law experience and have an understanding of relevant legislation. Relevant experience in a similar role and of a similar organisation preferred. Experience of resolving contractual issues with suppliers and other internal and external stakeholders is essential as is demonstrating influencing, negotiation and motivation skills. Finally, experience of prioritising, delivering and supporting a variety of contract projects to deadlines is required for this role.
