Locum Commercial Contracts Solicitor

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Locum Commercial Contracts Solicitor to join a prestigious academic institution based in East Anglia. This assignment is available on a full-time basis for an initial 6 month period. There is the possibility of flexible home working after an initial settling in period.

This is a great opportunity to join an established legal team to assist with a wide variety of commercial matters. It is essential for this role that you have experience of advising and dealing with Commercial matters relating specifically with Universities including collaboration agreements. Additionally, experience advising on agreements with international organisations would be desirable for this role.

Duties of the role will include:

• Negotiating, drafting and advising on a wide range of commercial contracts
• Advising on complex procurement matters including service and supplier agreements
• Drafting collaboration agreements and Non-Disclosure Agreements with complex Intellectual Property matters.

The position would be suited to an experienced lawyer who has a strong background of working within a public or private sector organisation dealing specifically with Intellectual Property matters. We will consider applications from qualified Solicitors/ Barristers/Legal Executives and non-qualified lawyers with relevant experience.

The position offers an hourly rate of between £45-55 per hour; however this could be negotiable for the right candidate.
