Job Details
Commercial Property Solicitor
Huddersfield
I am working with a well-established firm in Huddersfield who are looking for a junior-mid level PQE Commercial Property Solicitor to join their busy department.
The role has come about due to a senior Solicitor leaving the law, and as such there is an existing caseload for someone ideally between 3-7 yrs PQE, who is comfortable carrying a varied caseload of landlord and tenant, development work and acquisitions and disposals, and who is able to hit the ground running.
The client base is mixed dealing with small local businesses, regional SME's and multi-national organisations. There is plenty of opportunity to build relationships with key contacts and really get stuck into the work - it is not a place where the Partners hog all the work.
The firm is committed to supporting and developing staff, many junior and mid-level lawyers have progressed through the ranks internally with a number being made Partner. The firm doesn't measure performance by hourly time recording and you are not micro managed.
Although this is a full-time role ideally the firm would look at those who can work a 4 day week, or perhaps 5 shorter working days around things like childcare commitments.
This would be perfect for those Huddersfield based who are commuting to Leeds who want a better work/life balance without compromising on quality.
A genuinely pleasant place to work the Firm has won numerous awards and has recently gone through a period of expansion.
Salary is highly competitive for Huddersfield and measures up to strong Leeds based firms and great benefits.
If you would like to hear more about this role then please contact Graham Rawlinson for a confidential chat.

QED
An acronym of the latin phrase quod erat demonstrandum which translates as "thus it is demonstrated" or "that which was to be demonstrated". It is most often used as an annotation at the end of a complex mathematical, scientific or philosophical argument to show that the author had proven what he had set out to prove. In recent times it has also been translated as "Quite Easily Done".
As a recruiter you have to network and speak to large amounts of people and lots of law firms to really understand the market and have the connections to match people with opportunity quickly when the time arises. A good recruiter needs to be Quick, Excellent and Dynamic in everything that they do. Allow the team at QED to demonstrate what they can do for your firm or your career.
