Fee Earner - Motor (Part-Time)

PART TIME (3 Days) Personal Injury - Fee Earner - West Midlands - Top 50 Law Firm

The Complex Injury department of a highly regarded defendant law firm is currently seeiking Personal Injury Fee Earners (Solicitors/ Chartered Legal Execuitve, NQ's) to join them due to the growth of their Complex Injury Claims Team. Please note this role is Part Time (3 Days)

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with Complex Personal Injury claims assisting Lead Fee earners with Motor non-delegated high value cases consisting of claims typically in excess of £1 million.

To progress through to interview stage, the firm are seeking individuals that have knowledge of dealing with litigated personal injury claims from either a defendant or claimant background.

The Role:

In accordance with the strategy set by the Lead Fee Earner, progress each file from the receipt of papers from the Insurer to claims resolution dealing with aspects of quantum and liability, including:

* Dealing with Disclosure
* Instructing Counsel/investigators/medical and other experts/surveillance
* Reviewing witness statements
* Drafting questions to medical experts
* Drafting in general
* Costs Schedules
* Research
* Preparing/checking Trial Bundles
* Reviewing surveillance
* Attending Conferences and Trial with Counsel
* Negotiations/ Drafting Part 36 offers
* Dealing with routine correspondence
* Conducting site inspections and investigations
* Conducting CMC's and applications (where appropriate)
* To ensure compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct 2011

The Person:

* Qualified solicitor, NQ, current trainee about to qualify or proven experience is essential
* Positive, confident and enthusiastic
* Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent client care skills
* Ability to prioritise work, keep to deadlines and work under pressure
* A strong knowledge of relevant insurance principles
