Commercial and Technology Senior Lawyer

The Role

This department's client base are disrupting markets through new technology and innovative services. They therefore demand the best lawyers in the market who understand their needs and requirements fully.

The team draw on experience of working with some of the world's leading and fastest-growing technology enterprises, to ensure clients benefit from knowledgeable, practical support.
The Commercial and Technology team includes lawyers with PhD and science degrees, who have a deep understanding of what's involved in creating and developing a technology business.

Their sector focuses include: Life sciences, patents, brands, designs, trade secrets, digital media, IT and outsourcing, commercial and GC support, FinTech and financial services and data and regulatory
You will have experience working on a range of Commercial matters with extensive expertise in negotiating commercial agreements for UK and International clients.

The Senior Lawyer coming into the team will have a true passion and interest in the advancement of technology and the related commercial application.

You will also have strong client relationship skills, and the role will allow the successful candidate to take on a large amount of responsibility, leading and mentoring more junior team members and given the free rein to lead on transactions working closely with the Partners.

Requirements:

• You will be an ambitious, experience Senior Lawyer with a strong legal background in Commercial & Technology matters
• PQE 4-7 years
• Ability to lead and mentor junior members of the department
• You will have excellent technical knowledge and proven experience in business development
• You should be keen to engage in networking and build your own client base
• You will have strong interpersonal skills and be a team player
• The salary will be based upon experience, with a fantastic benefits package
