We are looking for a pro-active, talented and committed lawyer to join our legal team to deliver high quality employment advice to the University. Legal Services advises Academic Units and other Professional Services across the University. The role reports to the Director of Legal Services.
The successful candidate will take the lead in advising on a range of matters directly and indirectly relating to the employment of our 7500 staff, including instructing external solicitors as required. The role involves advising the University and in particular Human Resources, primarily on a wide range of employment and personnel-related issues, however, opportunities may arise for involvement in other related legal issues.
You will have significant experience as a solicitor or barrister, qualified in England & Wales, with core experience in employment law matters preferably gained in or in relation to the Higher Education sector.
