Property Litigation Solicitor: Leeds

Our team specialises in the management of risks and the resolution of disputes arising in connection with the ownership and occupation of property.

We work with our clients to identify business risks and then put strategies in place to mitigate them. Where disputes are unavoidable, our work takes us into the courts, arbitration proceedings, Tribunals and adjudication proceedings before the Land Registry Adjudicator. Our clients range from commercial and residential landlords and tenants to developers and individuals.

As well as undertaking a full range of property litigation work, our team is nationally recognised in two specialist areas - dilapidations and telecoms law. We undertake significant and high-profile work in both work areas across the country, for major household name clients.

We are now seeking to recruit an additional Property Litigation Solicitor, ideally between NQ and five years' PQE to complement our busy team of committed and hard-working lawyers.

The role

The post-holder will be expected to assume a key role supporting others on a range of property related problems and dispute resolution matters for a range of clients including occupiers, investors, developers and private individuals. This is likely to include involvement in all aspects of property disputes such as dilapidations, Landlord and Tenant Act proceedings, rights of way and other contentious property issues, along with property management issues including lease renewals and landlord and tenant disputes.

In addition, you will work with colleagues in other disciplines such as Commercial Property, Debt Recovery and other transactional teams on contentious property matters, as appropriate.

Key skills and experience

We are keen to hear from solicitors who have up to five years' post qualified experience (though this does not preclude someone with more qualified experience from applying).

Proven contentious or commercial property experience is important, preferably gained within a property/real estate environment.

You will need to demonstrate that you have a commercially focused approach to your work, have proven drafting skills and possess excellent personal organisation and time-management skills. You will be capable of assessing priorities and juggling multiple tasks and objectives effectively.

A professional approach to work together with a clear commitment to delivering excellence is essential.

You should also be used to working in a team environment, in a collaborative and supportive manner.

Lipson Lloyd Jones Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.

Company

No two candidates are the same, so recruitment should never be a numbers game. Offering a unique blend of insight, professionalism, dedication and enthusiasm, the accent at Lipson Lloyd-Jones is on ensuring the perfect chemistry between client and candidate.

Lipson Lloyd-Jones has been a major player in the legal recruitment sector since 1987, but our philosophy has changed little since then. In a marketplace increasingly populated by faceless web sites and mega-agencies, Lipson Lloyd-Jones has remained resolutely independent, the human face of recruitment, fully committed to treating each candidate as an individual.

Our mission is to match the right candidate to the right job. Simple? With our wealth of experience, focus, contacts and understanding of the legal recruitment milieu, it can be.
