Crown Court Advocate sought for a leading firm in Essex.

This is a rare opportunity for a talented solicitor or barrister with experience in criminal law matters to join a Lexcel accredited law practice in Chelmsford area. The successful candidate, ideally with Criminal Litigation Accreditation will handle a wide range of criminal matters, providing high-quality advocacy. High Right of Audience will be essential for this position.

• Conducting advocacy
• Preparing cases for trial
• Representing vulnerable clients
• Attending police station interviews
• Liaising with CPS and courts
• Interviewing witnesses and drafting witness statements
• File management

The Candidate
• Applications are encouraged from solicitors and barristers with a minimum of three years’ PQE in criminal defence matters
• Ideally, you will possess crime duty status
• The ability to provide first-class client care is essential
• Being confident, organised and flexible is required
• The successful Crown Court Advocate will be technically proficient
