LAW Absolute are working with a Local Authority based in London who are seeking a Childcare Lawyer for three months initially.
Our client has offices in both London and Essex and the successful Childcare Lawyer will be required to cover duty once a week in the Essex office.
Childcare Lawyers within the team carry a caseload of approximately 10 cases in proceedings and between 2-4 PLO cases. It is essential that you have advocacy experience as this is a requirement of the role. The courts are based in Essex and therefore an ability to travel to this location is essential. Previous public childcare experience is a
pre-requisite and candidates from both the public and private sector are encouraged to apply.
Working from home is available one day a week although, this is subject to the needs of the service and an initial introductory period to allow the Childcare Lawyer to familiarise themselves with the case management system and the way the council operates.
As this is an interim position, candidates applying for this role must be available to start a new position on no more than two weeks’ notice. You must have a current practising certificate in order to be considered for this opportunity.
