Family Solicitor

Overview:

TSR Legal have an exciting opportunity with an established and successful law firm based in Oxfordshire. Our client specialises in many areas of law and is currently looking to expand their Family team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a company with a proud heritage and ambitious plans for future growth.

Basic Purpose and Scope:

As a Family Lawyer, you will be responsible for managing your own caseload and you will cover the full spectrum of family/matrimonial law matters. This includes but is not limited to:

-          Divorce and separation

-          Financial matters/proceedings following divorce and separation

-          Private law Children Matters

-          Pre-marital and post-marital agreements

-          Cohabitation agreements, separation agreements

Candidate Profile:

The right candidate for this position will be ideally at least 5 years PQE, commercially aware and be able to demonstrate experience in a variety of family matters. You will be expected to expand and develop privately funded work in the department and become actively involved in marketing. The role involves large amounts of client engagement and so it is important that you are an effective communicator with a strong ability to build working relationships. You will be required to produce fee income in line with targets and agreed objectives work with Partners and Fee earners to develop new business.

Essential Skills:

-          Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a diverse caseload

-          Commercially astute and up to date with all family/matrimonial matters

-          Knowledge of business development

-          Good organisational skills and ability to work under pressure

-          Ability to work in a team environment and share best practice with others

-          Strong relationship building and client management skills
